Arthur D. Little appoints François-Joseph Van Audenhove as Global Leader of Travel & Transportation Practice
April 2021

Arthur D. Little (ADL) today announced that François-Joseph Van Audenhove has been appointed as Global Practice Leader for the company’s Travel & Transportation Practice. He takes over the Global Leader role from Ralf Baron, who has led the T&T Practice for the past ten years and has recently been appointed to Chairman of the Partnership Committee of Arthur D. Little.

François-Joseph, who also heads the Future of Mobility Lab, ADL’s think-tank on mobility futures, joined ADL in 2001. He advises clients internationally on complex strategic, commercial and organizational transformation programs, with a focus on the transportation and services industries. Based out of ADL’s Brussels office, he has built a reputation for thought leadership in “new mobility” and is a recognized opinion leader in the mobility industry.

Ignacio García Alves, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ADL, comments: “I would like to congratulate François-Joseph and welcome him to this Global Travel & Transportation Leadership role at a pivotal moment. Driven by the fourth industrial revolution and further exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Travel & Transportation sector is in the midst of a dramatic change. Moving the paradigm towards more sustainable, convergent, resilient and human-centric mobility systems is hugely challenging, but now is the time for public and private stakeholders to act together and make it happen.

“As the architect behind ADL’s thought-leading “Future of Mobility” studies, I am absolutely confident that François-Joseph will be central to realizing the transformational ambitions of the Travel & Transportation Practice. He is committed to both supporting our clients in shaping this new world of mobility and continuing to scale our business globally. I’d also like to express my deep gratitude to Ralf Baron, who has successfully led and shaped the T&T team for the last ten years, and turned it into a truly global practice.”

François-Joseph holds a Masters degree in Law from the University of Louvain-La-Neuve and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Solvay Business School.
